HELLO, MY NAME IS
Jazmin Nunez
Jazmin was born and raised a military brat. Since her father was a marine, she spent most of her childhood in both Virginia and North Carolina. She grew up with 3 other siblings, and is the only child who found a love and passion for dance. Jazmin began her dance journey when she was 4 years old, but was injured and stopped dancing for some time. However, her injury did not stop her forever as she has now been dancing for 10 years.
When Jazmin turned 9, she was living in Jacksonville, North Carolina where she attended a dance studio not too far from her home. After dancing there for a couple of years Jazmin moved to Stafford, Virginia. Jazmin continued to dance and attended two different studios, while also dancing on the North Stafford Dance Team during all 4 years of high school. While dancing, Jazmin has been a part of many different competition teams, including a recreational team, a tap team, and a premiere team. She has learned many different styles of dance such as ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, musical theatre, latin jazz, pointe and a little bit of ballroom. During her competition years, Jazmin earned many special awards for her dances, along with placing with her solos during her Nationals competition.
Jazmin found a love for teaching younger dancers. She started off as an apprentice, but now has been teaching younger dancers for 3 years. Jazmin is currently in community college and plans to transfer to a four year college to achieve her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience. While attending school, Jazmin wanted to find something that she could do to escape from the world of school, so naturally she looked at dance. Now while still attending school, Jazmin works the front desk, is an assistant, and also a teacher. Jazmin loves assisting and learning from Ms. Kristy, while also getting to know each and every one of the beautiful dancers that are a part of this loving family.
