Katie Brown is currently a professional cheerleader in the NFL, and has been with her current team for two seasons. She began her dance career in a local studio where she studied several styles of ballet, modern, jazz, tap, and pointe. In high school, she attended Governor’s School for the Arts where she performed as a soloist in full-length ballet and modern productions, and took master classes from groups such as Alvin Ailey. In college, she continued dance education and pursued a minor in dance. She spent her first year under the direction of Joni Petri-Scholz and Kathy Brenner at Old Dominion University, and finished her dance courses at Radford University, under the direction of Danah Bella and Inessa Plenkhanova. Additionally, she was a member of the nationally ranked Radford University Dance Team, competing in pom, jazz, and hip-hop team dance. During her senior year, the team secured 6th place nationally for D1 schools and made university history. She now specializes in lyrical, jazz, pom, hip-hop, and fitness dance styles!
