Ballet/Musical Theater Instructor/Choreographer
Corey received her foundations of cecchetti ballet and classic (Luigi, Frank Hatchett) jazz training at Dance Dimensions in Ft Lauderdale, home of the children’s ballet theatre. She received her BFA in acting and directing from Florida Atlantic University. Corey has received her MLitt and MFA in Shakespearean and Renaissance literature with a focus in acting from Mary Baldwin College in conjunction with The American Shakespeare Center. She has taught ballet, musical theatre, and competition teams locally for ten years. She is a coach for the North Stafford High School dance team and is the Artistic director for StepVa, a nonprofit bringing the arts to children and adults with special needs. She is a founding member and choreographer for Company 360 and is the drama teacher at Rodney Thompson Middle School and directs and choreographs two plays a year there. She is excited to continue to work with the Polaris dancers and their families.
