Bruno Palheta
Guest Ballet Instructor
Bruno was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He began his dance training at age 15 and graduated from Centro de Danca Rio in September of 2016 where he studied and received his Performing Arts Associate’s Degree. During his training he won many awards including Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition Finals in 2015.
In 2016, he came to the US and joined CityDance Conservatory in Bethesda, Maryland. He competed in the Youth America Grand Prix in Pittsburgh, PA in 2017 and placed Top 2 in the Men’s Classical and Contemporary Divisions. Later that year he joined The Washington School of Ballet where he received a full scholarship for the Professional Trainee Program and graduated in 2018. Later in 2018 Bruno enjoyed Orlando Ballet’s second company for 2 years. During his time there he danced many productions such as Robert Hill’s Carmina Burana, Bolero de Ravel and Victoria Morgan’s Cinderella.
In 2020 Bruno joined Cleveland Ballet as a Company Artist. He has performed “Prince” in The Nutcracker and “White Rabbit” in Margo Sappington’s Alice and “Puck” in Midsummer’s Night Dream.
This summer (2022), Bruno enjoyed The Jacob’s Pillow summer program as part of the Ballet Contemporary assemble, having the opportunity perform works from world-renowned choreographers Annabelle Lopez Ochoa and Jennifer Archibald.
Bruno will be in his third year as a Company Artist with Cleveland Ballet in Ohio.
